MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - We’re not quite done with the rain yet; showers and storms are possible Friday afternoon. There’s some better news for the weekend, however!
More wet weather in the form of both showers and storms will continue Friday afternoon as a stalled boundary gets ready to slide through the region.
Behind that front Friday evening, cooler and drier air will sweep into the region. Alabama high school football playoff games will be windy and chilly! Then, sunshine will arrive just in time for the weekend, but so will cooler temperatures.
High temperatures Saturday won’t get out of the 50s for most towns. Lows will dip into the upper 30s by late Saturday night and bottom out just above freezing by Sunday morning, so frost is possible.
Sunday will stay mostly dry, but a few showers are possible late in the day.
Much more active weather arrives for the beginning of the workweek, and Monday and Tuesday will be fairly soggy. However, if you think this weekend is a bit chilly, the just wait until the middle of next week!
Temperatures will significantly cool down. Wednesday, many places won’t leave the 40s all day! Also, Wednesday and Thursday mornings will be below freezing.
