MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Welcome back sunshine... we have missed you!
Due to drier air moving into our area and a clearing of our sky, temperatures warmed into the 50s today compared to yesterday’s low 40s.
We’re quiet as we head through the rest of our evening, and we remain mostly clear tonight; that means everyone across central and south Alabama will dip back below freezing again by Wednesday morning.
Sunshine continues tomorrow, but by Thursday it’s replaced by increasing cloud cover. Rain develops Thursday night into early Friday, tapering to scattered showers from there.
This system does not appear to pose a risk for severe weather at this time, but it’s something we’re going to need to continue to monitor. Expect a few showers to linger Saturday with a dry Sunday expected.
