Suspect charged after home invasion in Millbrook
According to Millbrook Police Chief PK Johnson, officers arrested Antoine Barron III, 20, after he fled the scene on Oak Tree Road and crashed a stolen vehicle into a tree.

MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) - A Decatur man has been arrested in connection with a Millbrook home invasion Saturday night.

According to Millbrook Police Chief PK Johnson, officers arrested Antoine Barron III, 20, after he fled the scene on Oak Tree Road and crashed a stolen vehicle into a tree.

At around 10:30 p.m., a homeowner in the 4700 block of Oak Tree Road heard a knock on his front door and, thinking it was his neighbor, opened the door. He told police three or four men forced themselves inside and, one of them brandishing a firearm, demanded property. The suspects fled the home and took the keys to the victim’s vehicle with them.

Officers responded to the scene, but on the way they spotted the stolen vehicle. While trying to elude officers, the vehicle lost control and crashed. Barron was quickly apprehended.

Police believe the other suspects fled the home invasion scene on foot. The victim was not injured.

Barron was charged with first degree robbery, first degree kidnapping and first degree burglary. He was taken to the Elmore County Jail, where he remains under a total bond of $330,000.
