MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Hundreds lined the streets for the city of Montgomery’s annual Christmas parade that also partners with the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl.
For some, it was their first time coming to the parade.
“My family is not here so I’m excited I want to be a part of Christmas, New Years and everything. Montgomery is awesome and I love it,” said Norman.
Others have been coming for years.
“I’ve been coming a lot of times, because, you know, you always have something new to offer and the creativity is amazing...it’s amazing,” said Baka Sankey.
Sankey said his favorite part is, of course, the candy.
“My orthodontist is going to kill me...literally,” he said.
The parade began on Dexter Avenue and ended at the court square fountain.
The parade is a way for those in the city to get in the Christmas and holiday spirit, and based on the turnout this year, it did just that.
