Tallassee kidnapping suspect now charged with rape, sodomy
Terrance Cobb of Notasulga is charged with multiple felonies related to a weekend kidnapping. Rape and sodomy charges are the latest to be brought against him.

TALLASSEE, AL (WSFA) - A 20-year-old man who was already facing multiple felony charges in connection to a year-end carjacking and kidnapping incident is facing new charges including rape and sodomy.

Terrance Cobb, a Notasulga resident, was arrested Monday morning and charged with robbery, kidnapping, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Now, court records indicate he’s facing sex crimes committed against the victim.

Police said Cobb was driving a stolen car when he crashed into another driver. As the driver of the other vehicle, a 68-year-old woman, waited for officers to arrive. Cobb allegedly walked up to her car and demanded to get inside. When she said no, he turned violent.

Police say Cobb took the woman to an undisclosed location where he robbed and then sexually assaulted her. He eventually left her and she was able to drive to the Torch 85 Truck Stop in Macon County to get help.
