MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - After a rainy Saturday, we’ll now stay dry and cool through midweek. The weather takes a warmer and wetter turn Thursday.
With cold air rushing into the state behind Saturday’s front, Sunday’s high temperatures never warmed past the low to mid 50s for everyone except those in far southeast Alabama, where the cold air didn’t arrive until this evening.
Lows will settle into the low 40s and upper 30s by early Monday morning, then Monday will stay cold! Some clouds will hang around and temperatures will stay in the 40s for most of the day, potentially reaching the low 50s only during peak heating hours in the afternoon.
The sun fully returns Tuesday, but sunshine won’t do much to warm us up. Highs will stay in the low to mid 50s.
As we head into the end of the workweek, rain chances start to build back into the forecast. A southerly wind will bring moisture back into the atmosphere and return temperatures to the 60s. Our next front looks to arrive by the weekend.
