After a clear and sunny day, clouds will start to build in tonight. The weather starts changing tomorrow, and low-end rain chances return to the forecast.
Another chilly night is in progress across central and south Alabama; we’ll drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s overnight.
A warming trend kicks in for the end of the workweek. Tomorrow’s highs will be near 60°, then we’ll jump to the mid 60s by Friday and eventually reach near 70° for Saturday. Rain chances also return for the end of the workweek and first half of the weekend. Isolated showers are possible both Thursday and Friday, but there won’t be much. Widespread rain and rumbles develop Saturday and stick around overnight.
Sunday, our weather completely changes. Temperatures will start in the 40s right after midnight, then tumble through the day into the low 40s and possible 30s by afternoon.
We’re destined for the 20s Sunday night and Monday morning, likely the coldest air of the winter thus far.
