Carroll’s White wins 800th career game
Raymond White became just the fifth coach in AHSAA history to reach 800 career victories.

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Well you can now call him Mr. 800!

With Thursday’s night win over Dale County, Carroll High School’s boys basketball coach Raymond White picked up his 800th career victory making him just the fifth coach in AHSAA history to reach that milestone.

White is in his first season as the Eagles head coach, but that’s after a lengthy reign as the head coach at Barbour County High School where he helped lead the Jaguars to three state titles in 17 years.

White was let go at Barbour County after the 2016-2017 season with 794 career wins, and after a year away from the game knew he had to come back and make it to 800.

He attributes all his success to the players on his teams throughout the years.

“We’ve had some great players over the years,” said White. “We anticipate on this group continuing to improve. It’s a great milestone for myself, my family, and all the teams that I’ve worked with over the years. It’s been a long time coming.”

White said his next goal...victory number 801.
