FIRST ALERT: Cold Sunday ahead!

Temperatures are significantly cooler behind Saturday’s cold front.

First Alert: Flurries possible early Sunday

Tornadoes swept through parts of the state Saturday afternoon, causing damage to towns like Wetumpka. For clean-up efforts, the weather will stay dry, but cold.

Colder air is spilling into Alabama, dropping temperatures into the 30s and wind chills into the 20s and teens this Sunday morning. We can’t rule out a few snow flurries (which would be nothing more than a novelty).

Sunny skies will develop through Sunday as cold and breezy conditions dominate. Highs will only be in the low to mid 40s.
