MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Equal Justice Initiative has announced it will offer free admission into the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum in downtown Montgomery Monday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The National Memorial of Peace and Justice will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a last entry time of 4:30 p.m. The Legacy Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a last entry time of 6:30 p.m.
EJI has been internationally acclaimed for their museum and memorial which opened in April 2018.
“The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.” according to the EJI website.
Guests are not required to make reservations, but can visit this website to book an entry time for a shorter wait.
