Auburn man arrested in September burglary, theft

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - A man has been arrested in a September burglary and theft investigation in Auburn.

According to the Auburn Police Division, Christopher Joe Whitlow, 45, was arrested Friday. The arrest stems from a burglary and theft that was reported to police on Sept. 4 in the 300 block of Industry Dr. Tools belonging to the business and employees were taken.

Police say evidence at the scene was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, and DNA analysis identified Whitlow as the suspect.

Whitlow is charged with third degree burglary, third degree theft of property, and two counts of fourth degree theft of property. He was taken into custody at his home and transported to Lee County Jail, where he was held on a $6,500 bond.
