HURRICANE EARL HEADS TOWARDS THE EAST COAST ...MORE ON OUR WEATHER BLOG...
The best news for Alabama...no problems with the tropics through the Labor Day weekend and into next week.
It's very warm and dry out there and this will continue through Friday, but changes are on the way. Good changes. In the meantime look for highs to easily top out in the middle 90's again on Friday.
The cold front sweeping through Friday evening will give a passing light shower to northwest Alabama; however, most areas should be dry. The main story with the front is the temperatures behind it. Expect upper 80s and less humid conditions for your Labor Day weekend. In fact, lows at night will dip into the upper 50's Saturday night for the first time since last Spring! The beautiful weather will continue through Labor Day.
As high pressure settles back in early next work week, we will see a slow warm up back to the low to mid 90s. The next seven days seem all in all relatively dry.
