Lows pressure developing in eastern Texas will slide eastward along the Gulf coast over the weekend and that spells a lot of wet weather for Alabama. Right now, it looks like the leading edge of the rain may no make it into our area until sometime Saturday morning. the rain will become more widespread and concentrated in the afternoon and evening hours with some of the heavies rain on Saturday night. As low pressure moves through south Alabama, there will even be some leftover rain on Sunday morning and perhaps as late as mid-day Sunday, before drier air arrives.
The gun hunting season begins Saturday and hunters can expect a wet cool forecast for the first day of the season with temperatures starting in the 40's in the morning and ending up mainly in the upper 50's to near 60 in the afternoon. Winds will be easterly at 5 to 15 mph.
The rain ends by early Sunday afternoon, and much of Thanksgiving week looks dry. There are signs of much cooler weather arriving by Thursday and Friday of next week...Stay tuned.
