MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery's Salvation Army shelter is closing, but only for about three months.
The closure is due to renovations at the facility.
The shelter plans to update the men's and women's shelters. Those renovations will not happen any earlier than October.
Around 30 homeless people stay there each month. A social worker will help those people find other places to stay.
