MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a fire that caused moderate damage to a church building in southwest Alabama was deliberately set.

Deputy State Fire Marshal Ken Smith said the fire early Sunday at New Start Ministry and Counseling in Frisco City was arson.

No injuries were reported. The fire was discovered at about 3 a.m. Sunday by Frisco City police on a routine patrol.

No arrests have been made.

Frisco City is in Monroe County about five miles south of Monroeville.
