Emmitsburg, MD (WSFA) - A north Alabama firefighter was among the fallen heroes remembered Sunday morning.
Firefighters and families from across the nation came together for a memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
24 year old Adam Cody Renfro died fighting a fire in October of last year.
He was a member of the Crossville Volunteer Fire Department.
The Sunday tribute to fallen firefighters marks the beginning of National Fire Prevention Week.
