TUSKEGEE, AL (WSFA) - Tuskegee University hosted a forum with the Rev. Jesse Jackson today. The nationally known civil rights leader is in Macon Co. tonight to address university students about credit practices and impact of the national economic stimulus.

Rev. Jackson also met with ministers to discuss his plans to open a branch of his Rainbow Push Coalition in Alabama.

Jackson says the office would be located in Birmingham but he wants to make sure it reaches out to all areas of the state including Macon Co.,

Rev. Jackson's organization just announced that it will award twelve Tuskegee University students a scholarship, valued at $1,000 dollars each, as a part of it's "Push for Excellence" campaign.
