Pine Level, AL (WSFA) - A third attempted murder charge is being applied to a Pine Level man accused of shooting two people, one who was holding a baby at the time.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's office says 30-year-old Anthony McClain entered a home off Troy Highway Sunday afternoon and started shooting.
Bullets struck the suspect's estranged wife in each shoulder. Amazingly, the baby she was holding was not harmed.
Another man also suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Authorities say the victims should make a full recovery.
McClain later turned himself in to authorities in Troy, but charges are being filed in Montgomery County. He faces three counts of attempted murder and three counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
This isn't McClain's first run-in with the law. Three years ago a jury convicted him on one count of second degree domestic violence.
A motive for Sunday's shootings was not immediately made available.
