OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. (AP) - An Owens Cross Roads man is recovering after suffering first and second degree burns in an apparent meth lab fire.
Huntsville Emergency Medical Services responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. Thursday where a man was transported to Huntsville Hospital for burns following a fire in a shed.
HEMSI chief operations officer Don Webster said 30-year-old Bo R. Bass was burned on his hands and arms. He also had minor burns on his face.
Owens Cross Roads police chief William Martin said the Huntsville-Madison County Strategic Counterdrug Team was also investigating the crime scene.
Authorities said it appears a meth lab caught fire inside the shed.
