AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn managed to get its starters a little rest leading up to the Tigers' season-ending rivalry games.
That could be important for a thin team that is playing 11 straight games without a bye week. The Tigers romped over Furman 63-31 on Saturday and led 42-3 at halftime.
Quarterback Chris Todd and tailback Ben Tate only had to play one half. Eight players had rushes and nine caught passes, including freshman receivers DeAngelo Benton and Emory Blake.
Freshman Anthony Gulley played running back, receiver and cornerback.
Now, Auburn (7-3) visits Georgia then takes a week off before hosting third-ranked Alabama.
Tailback Onterio McCalebb and linebacker Adam Herring missed the game with injuries.
