TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The Southeastern Conference's top two rushers are set to go head-to-head.
No. 3 Alabama's Mark Ingram and Mississippi State's Anthony Dixon are both averaging over 125 yards a game going into Saturday night's game in Starkville.
Dixon says the game is "just going to be a showcase." He has been overshadowed somewhat by Ingram, the offensive star for a national title contender.
Ingram ranks sixth nationally in rushing, only two spots ahead of Dixon.
Dixon appears poised to face a bigger challenge. Alabama ranks second nationally in run defense.
Ingram goes against a Mississippi State defense that is ninth in the league against the run.
Tide coach Nick Saban says he has great respect for both backs.
