FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - Florence police arrested a woman after her boyfriend said she shot at him.
The TimesDaily reports that 43-year-old Cynthia Carol Vaden was charged with first-degree attempted assault.
Detective Brian Perry said 49-year-odl Randy Hallmark told police he was asleep on the couch when he was awakened by a gunshot in the bedroom around 1 a.m. Friday.
Hallmark says he went in the bedroom and saw that Vaden had shot the ceiling and fired another shot into the ceiling when he walked in. When Hallmark turned to leave, Vaden fired a shot in his direction.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor. Vaden told officers she accidentally fired a round at the ceiling but didn't say anything about the shot in Hallmark's direction.
Vaden was being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bail.
