MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A wreck on Interstate 85 has claimed the life of three people. It happened between Bell Road and Taylor Road late last night.
Officers told WSFA 12 News that they responded to a single car crash around midnight. They say that the driver of a Dodge Ram lost control of the vehicle, hit the guard rail and rolled.
Police say when the truck finally landed it was upside down. Two individuals were trapped inside while the third one was thrown from the vehicle.
Police shut down I-85 North during the investigation. Investigators say no one was around when the truck crashed and that alcohol may have been a factor.
Today, family members and friends returned to the site to pick up belongings.
