MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - There are new developments surrounding a jewelry store robbery in East Montgomery. Authorities have identified the second man they say held up Ware Jewelers Friday night.
Police say 20 year old Bryant Norman of Memphis, Tennessee is the second suspect wanted in connection with the robbery. The first man died after police chased and arrested him in a nearby field.
Authorities tell WSFA 12 News they've secured a warrant against Norman, but tonight, he's still on the loose.
WSFA 12 News Reporter Cody Holyoke spoke with the Montgomery Police Department. Authorities tell him that Norman doesn't have any connections in the Montgomery area so they're stepping up their search efforts.
The police department also entered Norman's information into a national database so that if any other law enforcement agencies come in contact with the young man, he can be arrested on the spot.
The department of forensic sciences was scheduled to perform an autopsy on the first suspect today to determine his cause of death.
***Just in: According to Captain Ron Cook (MPD) they have reason to believe that the suspect still on the run has left the area. They have reached out to other law enforcement in the Memphis area to help locate.***
