Dothan, AL (WSFA) - The city of Dothan is designing a playground to allow children with mental and physical handicaps the opportunity to play like normal children. Last year, Dothan opened the Dothans Rotary Miracle Field that made it possible for physically and mentally challenged children to play baseball.
Now they are re-directing their vision by leading a fundraiser campaign to build a new 'miracle playground' so children with special needs can engage in play-time. Organizers are hoping to complete the project by next spring.
