
WEST POINT, AL (WBRC) - A traffic stop in Cullman County brought deputies to 61 pounds of marijuana.
Agents stopped a truck on Highway 157 in West Point Tuesday night. They say 57-year-old Jerry Bryant had 57 pounds of pot in a duffle bag.
A search of Bryant's residence led to four more pounds of marijuana, five firearms, money and a bulletproof vest.
Bryant was charged with drug trafficking.
The Cullman County Sheriff says Bryant has been a person of interest for a while.
