Houston Co. officials advise on flooding

HOUSTON CO., AL. (WSFA) - The Houston County Emergency Management Agency is recommending that all residents with trailers on River Road, on the west side of the road, in Columbia, move the trailers out due to the possibility of flooding.

Residents on the east side of this road should continue to closely monitor the river level. Gilberts Boat Landing on River Road is closed.

EMA is also recommending that anyone with a travel trailer at Omussee Park near the creek move the trailer due to possible flooding.

Residents in Gordon near the River on Boat Landing Road and Jowers Road should closely monitor the river levels.

The Gordon Boat Landing is closed.
