DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - Sheriffs deputies are continuing to investigate a shooting at a downtown Dothan nightclub Christmas night.
A gunman apparently opened fire with a semiautomatic weapon inside the Club Rio Grande around midnight on Christmas Day. Three people were wounded in the shooting, two with minor injuries and one with injuries requiring surgery. All are expected to survive.
Clubgoers fled the shooting and one person was injured after stepping on broken glass.
Dothan Police Sgt. Clark Rice said preliminary interviews with witnesses indicate the shooter was a light-skinned black male wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. A spokesman for the Houston County sheriffs office said police have been talking to several witnesses but have yet to make an arrest.
