MONTGOMERY, AL - Secretary of State Beth Chapman has been informed that some sample ballots which may be misleading are being distributed in the Fifth Congressional District today.
The ballots are alleged to be in the same format and color of the Alabama Democratic Conference ballots but bear the name "Alabama Democratic Committee."
It has been further alleged that some of the candidates shown on the sample ballot being handed out are not the same candidates which have been endorsed by the Alabama Democratic Conference.
The Alabama Democratic Conference is a legitimate PAC filed with the Secretary of State's office. The office has no records on file for the "Alabama Democratic Committee."
