MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery police are identifying the victim in a fatal Friday night stabbing. Investigators say 36-year-old Frederick Davis was arguing with his girlfriend about him moving out of their home when her cousin stepped in.

Samuel Turner, 44, who lives at 3525 Wilmington Road with the victim and his girlfriend, got allegedly stabbed Turner several times in the torso. Davis was stabbed in the shoulder and abdomen, according to Captain Ron Cook.

Davis was rushed to Baptist South Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 7:00pm.

Turner fled the scene, but turned himself in at Montgomery Police Headquarters later in the evening. He's now charged with murder and is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

This marks the 19th murder of 2010 for the city of Montgomery.
