MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Former U.S. President George W. Bush is planning a trip to Alabama's capital city in the coming days. Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange and Faulkner University President Billy D. Hilyer made the announcement Wednesday.
Mr. Bush will be the featured speaker for the University's 2011 Benefit Dinner.
"This event will bring people from all over the state and the nation to Montgomery," said Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange, "and we are looking forward to them to have a positive experience in our city."
Faulkner's speaker last year was former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
The event is scheduled to take place on October 6 at 7:00pm at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Montgomery
