Repairs are underway at the Slavery and Civil War Museum in Selma. During a recent thunderstorm, the part of the roof was blown off and rain flooded both floors below ruining some artifacts. It caused 200-thousand dollars in damage.
The roof has been replaced. Now workers are concentrating on inside repairs. Unfortunately, insurance will only pay a small amount. If you can help, call 334-418-0800.
