The city of Auburn and Auburn University are welcoming a heavyweight company to the area.
Officials have received confirmation that Northrop Grumman Corporation will build one of their new national work-force centers in the "Lovliest Village on the Plains".
The center is part of a new initiative to provide high quality, cost-effective technology centered within the United States as an alternative to off-shoring.
The new Auburn Research Park will be the home of Auburn's Northrop Grumman operation.
There is no word on how many jobs the company will bring.
