Auburn University added a new lobbyist to its payroll to the tune of $120,000 for a one year contract.
Auburn's President Jay Gogue hired retired lobbyist Sherri Fulford to work as the Director of State Government Affairs.
Fulford cancelled a controversial contract with the Alabama Medicaid Agency earlier this year.
Some are questioning the need for a second lobbyist since the university already pays the Montgomery lobbying firm of Fine, Geddie and Associates, well over $120,000 a year for its services.
