Health Department Looking into Fort Mitchell Nursing Home Abuse

The Alabama State Health Department is looking into allegations of abuse and neglect at a nursing home in Russell County.

Lori Lamb says her mother's care at Canterbury Health Facility in Fort Mitchell has gotten worse over the past year.

Lamb says her mother has fallen several times and has bruises all over body.

"I had been complaining about the bruises all over her every time I went," Lamb says,"and there's been a few times, I'd go and she's needed a change."

The State Health Department is looking into the matter.
