Alabama football coach Nick Saban made an appearance in Baton Rouge, Lousiana Wednesday night according to Louisiana State University's official student newspaper, the Daily Reveille.
The paper says Saban was escorted by Louisiana State Troopers to an undisclosed location.
Saban was reportedly on a recruiting trip in Monroe earlier in the week.
The paper says message-boards are speculating that UA's head coach could be in the runnings to replacement LSU coach Les Miles if he decided to persue other job options.
LSU Athletic Director Skip Bertman said LSU has no interest in interviewing Saban as the coach.
"We don't want to talk to coach Saban. What are we asking permission to talk to coach Saban for?" Bertman said. "We've got a coach. His name is Les Miles. We're playing Tennessee this weekend."
Saban is in his first year of coaching at Alabama. He was recruited from the Miami Dolphins after the firing of coach Mike Shula.
