Reward Offered After Sheriff's Deputy Fired Upon

Posted: Updated: Jan 15, 2008 09:56 PM CST

A reward is now being offered for information leading to a conviction in a shooting that came close to harming a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy.

It happened Monday night around 8pm when the deputy was closing the department's warehouse on Day Street Road.

According to the sheriff someone fired at least five rounds in the deputy's direction.

Although the deputy was not hit or injured the Sheriff isn't taking the shooting lightly.
