
WSFA 12 News Archival Footage of Selma to Montgomery Crossing.Selma, Ala. (WSFA) -- The city of Selma will be in the spotlight in March as citizens remember the 43rd anniversary of the Selma-to Montgomery voting rights march.
Several celebrities and civil rights activists will join in the rememberance.
Hip-hop artists like "Outkast", Sean "Diddy" Combs and Master 'P' as well as businessman Russell Simmons and the Reverend Al Sharpton are expected to attend.
This year's theme is "One mic, one movement".
Organizers say the plan is to bridge the gap between the Civil Rights movement and the Hip- Hop generation.
The four day series of events will get underway March 7th.
