Montgomery, AL (WSFA) -- State troopers say six people were hurt in a one car crash in the northbound lanes of I-85 in Macon County Sunday. The accident happened near exit 26 as thousands of drivers made their way home from July 4th destinations.
State Troopers say the driver lost control and ran into the median. All six people were in the same vehicle. Two of them were "seriously" injured, but their wounds do not appear to be life threatening.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes were shutdown for some time so helicopters could land to transport two victims to a local hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
