CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Tennessee woman found stabbed to death in the back of her husband's SUV was a Fort Campbell soldier who was on leave from Afghanistan.
The mother of 18-year-old Ashley Cecelia Barnes-Lambert told the Leaf-Chronicle that she had recently filed for divorce with her husband, 28-year-old Khaleefa Lambert.
The woman was found dead in Lambert's Mercury Mariner on Saturday after a state trooper pulled him over on Interstate 24 in Tennessee.
Michelle Bosarge, of Mobile, Ala., said she last saw her daughter when Barnes-Lambert visited during her leave, but returned to Clarksville to talk with a divorce attorney.
Lambert has been charged with first-degree murder and was scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
