** HEAT ADVISORY UNTIL 7 P.M. TODAY **
Today has indeed been the hottest day of the year with temperatures in the 90s to near 100 degrees in spots with humidity making it feel close to 110 for many areas. The evening looks hot but there will be a isolated chance at a couple of pop up thunderstorms as a cold front approaches the area.
We'll continue a 20% chance of isolated overnight storms into Wednesday morning as the cold front pushes across the metro. By the afternoon, mostly to partly sunny skies will dominate along with a drop in humidity and highs only in the mid to upper 80s for most.
