Daniel Curtis is a general assignment reporter for WSFA 12 News and Fox News at Nine. Based in Dothan, most of his reports focus on issues of importance to residents of the wiregrass.
This is Daniel's second stint with WSFA 12 News. He served as a news intern in the summer of 2006. He accepted his current position in January of 2008 and says he is glad to be back in Alabama.
Before returning to Alabama, Daniel worked as news producer at a television station in Macon, Georgia.
Daniel has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Troy University. While in college he received awards for his on-air work at TrojanVision, the student-run television station. He started out as a volunteer, but after his first day, says he got "hooked on news." Daniel's work included anchoring, reporting and producing news, sports and weather segments.
A native of Mobile, the original home of Mardi Gras, Daniel loves the Gulf Coast, especially Dauphin Island. When he's not at work, you'll probably find him at the beach, in a fishing boat or on the golf course.
