MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Faulkner University leaders say Sarah Palin accepted the invitation before Christmas to speak in the capital city.

"She's very popular," said Leigh Brannan, Director of Public Relations at Faulkner University.

Mrs. Palin won't speak on campus although a visit on campus is still a possibility.  Palin is slated to be the keynote speaker for the university's 2010 annual benefit dinner at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Montgomery.

The date? October 7 at 7 P.M.

"We expect she'll talk about patriotism, love of God and giving back to the community,' said Brannan.

The school says Palin is by far the most high profile speaker it has landed.

Sarah Palin's book 'Going Rogue' has apparently done well. Industry insiders say Mrs. Palin received around $7 million in advance and the book so far has sold well over 1.5 million copies.

Long before John McCain selected Palin to be his running mate, Palin made political history by becoming the first female governor in Alaska.

Faulkner University says proceeds from Palin's visit will help pay for student scholarships.

Tickets are expected to go on sale February 15.
