Eclectic Elementary School has received two grants totaling $1,500 from the Alabama Wildlife Federation's Outdoor Classroom Program.

The purpose of the grants is to help with the development of a nature trail ($1,000) and a butterfly garden ($500) on the school's campus as a part of their outdoor classroom.

By developing a nature trail and butterfly garden at the school, teachers will capitalize on children's natural curiosity.

They will also be able to provide quality conservation education experiences through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that focus on Alabama's natural diversity.

John Ireland, AWF's Board of Directors member made the presentation on behalf of the Alabama Wildlife Federation.
