Jury recommends death for bridge murders

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A jury has recommended death for a man who killed four young children by tossing them from atop a coastal Alabama bridge.

The jury deliberated about an hour Friday before recommending the death penalty for 38-year-old Lam Luong, a Vietnemese refugee who was convicted Thursday of capital murder.

Circuit Judge Charles Graddick, who is presiding over the trial, is not bound by the jury's decision.
