Montgomery's mayor declares April "Child Abuse Prevention Month"

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) --  Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange is raising awareness about child abuse.  Wednesday, Strange declared April "Child Abuse Prevention Month."

The mayor met with children's advocates Wednesday, including representatives of the Family Sunshine Center.

Officials hope by raising awareness, more people will step forward to report a problem or get help.
