Montgomerian wins CMA 'Song of the Year'

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Alabama native Jamey Johnson captured the song of the year award at the Academy of Country Music Awards over the weekend.

The Montgomery native won the trophy for his musical composition "In Color."

Carrie Underwood captured entertainer of the year Sunday night, winning the top honor that has eluded women for nearly a decade, while Taylor Swift won album of the year and Julianne Hough snagged top new artist.

The show aired live from the MGM Grand on CBS.
