Old Time Music

Who's up for some dulcimer, or maybe jamming out with the auto harp.   They are instruments from another century, but still make some sweet music today.

The Lee County Historical Society gets together several times a month to make some music and remember a time when things were a lot simpler.     "We have a true love for music and want to share it with everyone else," said member Deborah McCord.    "Old time music was before they classified it as bluegrass and mountain songs."

It really is simple.  See for yourself in the video player.   I played a simple song called Boiled Cabbage.    Look out Grammy's here I come.

The Lee County Gathering is April 24th and 25th in Loachapoka.     You can learn how to play these instruments and see more of how people lived in the mid 1800s.
