Covering Lee County: Big names headline country music festival

Auburn, Ala. (WSFA) -- Some major names in country music will soon take the stage just outside Auburn starting Friday.

Business owners are excited about an influx of concert-goers. The concert's organizers claim between 30,000 and 50,000 people will show up for the Sticks Country Music Festival. They say people from 35 states have purchased tickets.

That means when they're not at the concert, folks will be filling hotel rooms, stores and restaurant.

The show starts tomorrow at Parker Hill in Auburn.

The acts include Mark Chestnut, Rodney Atkins, Gretchen Wilson, Diamond Rio, Sara Evans and Trace Adkins.

Tickets are available at the gate.
