Montgomery Volunteer Firefighter hurt in deer accident

Montgomery County, AL (WSFA) -- Late Monday evening, South Montgomery County Volunteer Firefighters responded to an accident involving one of their own.

WSFA 12 News by investigators on the scene they had just ended a firefighter meeting before the accident happened. A fireman then got on his motorcycle on Hobby Road. A deer ran out in front him, and he crashed into it.

The fireman then flagged down help. We are told he was just rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.

At this hour, the firefighter's name hasn't been released.
